Led Zeppelin Aiming at Numbers 8, 10 and 11 in the U.S.; Mariah Carey’s Album Plummets An Astounding 75%

Whole story on VVN Music Hits Daily Double, the chart prognostication site, has projected that Led Zeppelin will take positions 8, 10 and 11 on this week’s sales chart. Like in most countries, the band’s debut album seems to be the winner by a small margin with projected sales of 31,500 which should put them at number 8. Unlike other places, Led Zeppelin II appears to have out sold Led Zeppelin III by a margin of 29,400 to 28,800.  III had fairly consistently been coming in second in the rest of the world. If the numbers hold, it should put II and III at numbers 10 and 11. Those positions seem fairly safe as the album at 12, Michael Jackson’s Xscape, is only projected at 25,300. Mariah Carey‘s new album, Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse takes a major fall from 3 to the high 20’s with projected sales down a whopping 75%. Normal second week sales see decreases of 50% to 55%. The sales support our contention that Carey’s latest will almost certainly not even reach gold status (500,000 sales) as it will struggle to hit 100,000 by week three. Another deluxe package reissue, Soundgarden‘s Superunknown, looks to sell around 10,500 to place in […]

After a busy year touring in Europe, including UK and Ireland, Donegal folk and roots trio the Henry Girls have released their new album “Louder than Words,” which is set to delight a growing international audience. “Louder than Words” brings together the Henry Girls’ trademark three part harmonies sitting warmly alongside Joleen’s harp with a nod to Irish folk and Americana, evoking shades of Gillian Welch and The Indigo Girls. Absorbing New Influences Since the release of their much-acclaimed “December Moon,” nominated in the Huffington Post’s Top 10 albums of 2013 and produced by Calum Malcolm (Lau, Blue Nile, Heidi Talbot), Karen, Lorna and Joleen have continued absorbing new influences. Listeners have said “Louder than Words” is their finest work to date. A musical fusion of the Donegal coastline and the Appalachian mountains, the Henry Girls combine their Irish heritage with a contemporary sound imbued with compassion, insight and warmth. “Louder Than Words” has already been declared a fresh and finely crafted body of work with strong folk roots that invite you into the Henry Girls’ Donegal world.
