Music Mirror reflects on latest single Joy! by Ollyi.on

The new single by UK based musician and songwriter Ollyi.on is called Joy!, which celebrates this positive and hard-won emotional state. Ollyi.on is a singer/songwriter and producer based in Farnborough, Hants in the U.K who plays the flute, saxophone, keyboards, bass, guitar, drums, violin, trumpet and harmonica. As a multi-instrumentalist, it is not surprising that jazz has inspired his prolific songwriting to date. Ollyi.on started jamming with friends from an early age and has always been excited by music. On living in Switzerland in 2013, Ollyi.on says “I was inspired by the breath-taking sceneries and sheer beauty of the cities which gave me fresh inspiration to write and make new music”. Ollyi.on initially began recording with the producer Dom Tosh of Relief Studio in Switzerland. He then moved to London to collaborate with Andy Whitmore (Peter Andre, Atomic Kitten, Michele Gayle, Elton John, Boy George, Eternal) at Greystoke Studios in Ealing, London. An accomplished singer-songwriter and producer based in Sheffield called Kyla will release her latest single “Beautiful U” on KYPO Records on 29th June. DJs and producers including Liquid, Klubfiller, Andy Whitby, Andy Littlewood and Max Porcelli have used songs written by Kyla, who also provided the vocals. For Max Porcelli, she wrote and featured on Give Us Thunder, released on 12 inch vinyl and digitally by 989 Records. Kyla’s track Under Your Spell was on The Sound of Hardcore in 2009, which reached number 4 in the compilation chart. Amongst other writing and session work for other artists, Kyla wrote and featured on Klubfiller’s track On A Cloud, which featured on Clubland Extreme Hardcore and also Summer of Love for Fretman & Darwin, which featured on Hardcore Underground 4. Music Mirror announces new release from Michael Push

Michael Push is a London based pop dance house DJ, producer and music artist who grew up in a small town in Sardinia, Italy. As a child, Michael took up singing and playing keyboards, which lead to him being accepted into Italy’s biggest music school. The release of “Freeze” featuring Moonfish on Restylers Records in 2012 saw Michael enter the mainstream. DJ Mag Italia featured Michael on their DJ’s Got Talent Page. Michael writes and produces his own music and is influenced by current pop and club music. His energetic tracks combine romantic lyrics and choruses with powerful beats in the pop-house, tech-house and minimal techno dance genres. “Freeze” reached number 3 in MTV’s Top 10 Dance Chart, between J.Lo and Madonna. New Pop Rock Artist Inspired by Music, Literary and Entrepreneurial Greats

Creating hits armed with a Dictaphone for melodies, iPod for inspiration and pen and notebook for lyrics, Gaurika Hayer is a pop-rock singer-songwriter, most similar to Pink, Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson. Michael Jackson, Madonna and Elton John are also inspirations. London based Azrock and Pogo are an experimental duo. Azrock, a songwriter, musician and producer, also writes fiction, is a graphic artist and software programmer. He wanted to combine all his talents and when he first heard the voice of Pogo he was blown away by her vocals and the recording project was born. Together, Azrock and Pogo are driven to produce timeless music across all the genres. Azrock and Pogo were one of the original artists to reach the Hall of Fame on artist funding website SliceThePie and were selected as a winner for the £15,000 prize due to the interest generated from thousands of reviewers. Another song of theirs ‘I’ll Wait Here’ was a top 5 finalist for ‘Song of the Year’ competition. Shivali brings a new type of gospel to the mainstream – Hindu bhajans

Shivali was born and brought up in the City of London but was knew her shlokas from the age of 3. Before her record deal with Sony Music BMG, Shivali had graduated in economics and philosophy and worked as a summer analyst for investment bank Goldman Sachs. She also found time to write for the Finance Times and other prominent publications. DESIRED Shivali deeply desired to bring devotional music, known as bhajans, into the mainstream and thus set out to modernise them while retaining their soulful roots. An example of this is 2010’s The Bhajan Project, an album released through Sony Music India, which is devotional songs given a contemporary feel with guitar, cello, tabla, western drum kit, strings and sitar. This 9-track album was nominated for two Global Indian Music Awards, Best Debut and Best Fusion Album. London singer-songwriter Arjun Coomaraswamy, who has produced Shivali since she was 15, provided the acoustic guitar in Shivali’s sound. “Build our music as a storyboard”, declares El Deyma frontman Flo, “That’s how we compose, we share by fragment, it’s like a never-ending movement.” All three members of this London based rock band have an international background. Flo used to live in Paris, New York and Prague, and has worked with artists including Dan Deacon, Mick Quinn from Supergrass and Turner Harrison. Giulio comes from Treviso, Italy, and has toured on guitar across China, Bosnia and Austria alongside Giorgio Barbarotta.
