For those in search of the next big R&B anthem of 2022, look no further. Connecticut-native VeLeah dishes up her latest single, a fiery 3-and-a-half minute raw Hip-Hop groove laced with her signature soulful vocal delivery. With vibes reminiscent of the golden era of 90s and early 00s R&B (think Doja Cat, Beyoncé, Rihanna), and subsonic weight that’ll push speaker systems to their limits, ‘Serving’ is a guaranteed club thumper and party starter for all occasions.

Lyrically, VeLeah takes on the voice of inspiration, sporting an ever-important message and reminder to celebrate one’s beauty, inside and out. It exudes confidence, and comes at a time when such a message is needed most.

It represents confidence and self-love. It’s a reminder to myself and other people to celebrate our beauty, inside and out“.

Produced by the revered Christopher Starr of CSP Music Group, Serving will make its debut in April 2022. It will be available to stream and purchase across all major platforms.

On a musical journey orchestrated by a singular goal of inspiring and implementing joy into the lives of others, VeLeah’s mission circles around forging hope and happiness. She is a true lover of music who constantly channels its therapeutic abilities, and one who aims for her elegantly soulful voice to reach people around the world.

Connecticut-born and bred, VeLeah’s love for R&B is rooted into her very existence, with her biggest influences extracted from the likes of Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Usher, Chris Brown, Celine Dion, and Rihanna. Soulful, ethereal, and deeply profound, it’s VeLeah’s personal experiences that act as inspirations for her music, with this ethos cementing a unique sense of authenticity into the heart of her sound.

Growing up in a Christian household, gospel music played a big part in VeLeah’s early years. Those countless hours of listening to choirs and singing along to Gospel tapes have gone on to irrevocably shape her music today. Packed with harmony and sung from the depth of her heart, she credits her formative years in the choir as pivotal to the development of her vocal capabilities.

Although making music from the age of eleven, it was the tragedy of loss that sparked a desire to pursue the art form further. Acting as an outlet after the passing of her mother, VeLeah would lock herself away in her bedroom, accompanied by nothing other than a Casio keyboard and her own thoughts, in pursuit of a way to cope with the shock. It was during these months that she wrote ‘I Miss You’, a song that has gone on to inspire her to write so many more.

While much of her lyrical inspiration is derived from places of pain, the Connecticut-based artist’s music is far from dreary. In a gracefully transformative act of juxtaposition, she turns these negative experiences into relatable, inspired, and hope-filled pieces of music. Above all, it’s a manner in which VeLeah can express herself without filter, which is where the beauty in music resides.

Next up for VeLeah is the release of her next single, ‘Serving’, which is set for release in April 2022.
