Nigerian Artist Ray D to Launch Peace and Unity to World
Chukwuba Raymond Nnamdi is known for his music as Ray D. He grew up in Nigeria with his widowed father and one of his sisters. Ray D started in music by joining the church choir at the age of 12. In November 2013 he released his first single London Girl, recorded with Imo State producer Freelance, and the song took Ray D to musical prominence in the eastern part of Nigeria. Ray D was named Artist of the Year 2014 for Dancehall at the E-sure Celebrity Awards, which celebrates talent in the Nigerian entertainment industry, with Freelance scooping the next best producer award in 2013.
