Dutch artist Robby Valentine has signed to Japanese major record label King Records and releases a double album also available on vinyl, all accompanied by a headline show at the Arts Club in Liverpool in March. Robby’s first self-titled album contained his first single Over and Over Again, a big hit in 1991. That year he received the prestigious Dutch Silver Harp award, which celebrates promising musical talent and was recently awarded to Tiësto and Ferry Corsten. Valentine writes, produces and plays all his own material. Black Rain will be the new single from Robby’s latest album Bizarro World, which is already getting extensive UK radio play in the lead up to his Liverpool concert on 12 March. To celebrate twenty-five years making music, Robby launches his latest album Bizarro World on 14th February and the Queen Album, with bonus tracks including his cover of Life on Mars by David Bowie. Canadian singer-songwriter, DJ and producer, Myla just released a new collaborative EP with Toronto electronic producer, Dafusia, who originates from Chennai in India. The EP entitled Werk It Out by Myla and Dafusia is now available on all digital music retail. There is a video on YouTube for the title track Werk It Out. The EP combines elements including pop and electronic fusion, nu-wave soul, trip-hop, indie pop, world, RnB and jazz. Their lyrics reflect stimulation from their life journeys and offbeat inner conceptions. In the Canadian city Toronto in 2009, Myla first broke onto the electronic music scene under her real name Mandy Ebel, produced by Srihari Sridhar – previously working as Hawri and now known as Dafusia – with their vocal dubstep single Take Your Mind. This collaboration was first known as as Hawri ‘n’ Mandy and their debut EP called Yuga One followed in 2010. SkullClub, a recently formed duo who fuse the sounds of heavy rock and electronic music are signed to Sony Music and based in Brisbane, Australia. The duo is Matt McGuire, producer, drummer, audio engineer and manager and John Third on guitar, keyboards and electronic controllers, who together combine electronic sounds with live instruments. Matt McGuire has has toured regularly since he was 17 years old and achieved 55,000 Facebook likes and well over a hundred thousand subscribers on YouTube. Matt also played for gold record and multi-platinum selling Australian EDM act Bombs Away. Artists including Skrillex, Pendulum, SubFocus, Shockone, Madeon, ModeStep, Neon Jungle, The Amity Affliction, NERO and Alison Wonderland have recognised Matt’s drumming skills. Johnny Third’s Facebook music page has received has achieved 6,600 likes and 11,200 followers on Soundcloud where his single Young Ones has had 2 million plays, plus a million on Spotify.
