Robert Dugdale to play live showcase gig to launch his melodic album ‘For Paula’

Robert Dugdale is a singer/songwriter based in London who also works as a scenic artist in the film and television industry. He says “Apart from painting song writing is one of my greatest loves and I have been doing it since I was seven or eight”. At college Robert Dugdale played guitar in a punk band called ‘Andrew Hyde and the Swinging Five‘ with Angus McCubbine on vocals, Andy Hyde on bass and Neil McKinnon on drums. Robert Dugdale later formed a band called ‘The Artisans’ playing guitar and providing vocals alongside Dave Morris on keyboard and vocals, Kent Shelley bass and vocals & Dave Sharp on drums. The Artisans musical style was synth pop and one of their songs ‘Take Me To’ has been revamped and features on Robert’s new album ‘For Paula’. Following this Robert Dugdale played guitar and sang vocals for a band called ‘Sugar Mine’ who were founded by ‘Charles Banugo’ and were offered a recording contract with Parlophone.
