Tell us about your new single ‘Stress’, What is it about ? and why have you taken a brand new direction with your music ? “Stress” is about being in a toxic relationship and finally coming to terms with the fact you gotta get out. It’s about a relationship that’s one sided. Where your working harder than your partner to maintain the love, and you feel stuck. I’ve definitely been there. With a new and old school rap style, C.h.a.m.p delivers ‘Yolo’
C.h.a.mp is a Mesquite, Texas native and solidified Texan. His artist name is an acronym for, “Change Happens at My Pace.’‘ He came up with the name before he had the idea of being a rap artist. While in the hospital after being shot in the head, he continually told himself, “ Change Happens at My Pace.” It wasn’t until he decided to make music, that he realized this phrase was an acronym for C.h.a.m.p. He further placed periods in between each letter, to give more emphasis to each word. So far, he has released 2 EPs (Paper Route and YOLO) totaling 12 songs and has a full length album (Therapy) coming in October/November that will entail his roller coaster life story, while also giving his usual turn up vibe.
