Out of Breath is the title of Philip’s debut single which was released on the 30th of April 2021.The song is a kind of “burnout-anthem”, which deals with themes like overthinking and the fear of not being able to live up to your own expectations. These thoughts are in many ways a sign of these crazy times we are living in, where Corona virus and a seemingly endless lockdown has made it difficult to remain optimistic. Furthermore it touches upon how it may seem as if you “have it all in your hands”, and have everything figured out (for example on social media), when in reality you are struggling to pick yourself up and keep going. Philip is the 22-year-old danish singer and songwriter Philip Bæk Hedegaard, who fell in love with music when he got his first guitar at the age of 13. The Kith is an up-and-coming DJ duo consisting of two brothers born and raised in the Netherlands. The duo is unique as the youngest brother is only 16 years old. Together they are at the start of their music career. Besides Slap House / Brazilian Bass they also make some heavier Bass House tracks. The release of ‘Tell Me Why’ was their first real success, with a warm atmosphere and the deep bass known from Slap House. The track has been streamed over 30k times in a few months. Other tracks that followed up after this success within Slap House were ‘Closer’ on Kiwistage records and ‘Coming Back Around’ on Tritone records. Recently, in addition to the original mix, a remix was released by AUGUSTE of the track ‘Closer’. ‘Coming Back Around’ featuring Josh Vorster has a catchy vocal, supported by a deep bass.The high notes during the pre drop provide a broadening feeling, allowing the typical Slap House drop to hit deep. Emy Perez is a Venezuelan singer/songwriter known for her crazy looks and quirky pop songs. At a young age Emy lost herself in music and pursued that dream in the USA. In her native Venezuela, she supported headliners and went onto to sign to an American record label. This led to her performing alongside such great artists as Shakira, Eros Ramazotti and Earth, Wind & Fire. In North and South American, Emy toured live, wrote songs for other artists and worked with well-known producers Shane Stoner and Steve Morales, who produced Enrique Iglesias, Christina Aguliera, Ricki Martin and Celine Dion among others. Shane Stoner says, “Emy is an amazing songwriter. She knows how to capture the essence of a feeling into words.” Emy produced an album with Ricardo Eddy Martinez, who provided horn arrangements for Miami Sound Machine, and platinum winning producer, Keith Morrison. Unfortunately this album was never released and Emy moved to Europe to study music at Conservatorium Alkmaar in the Netherlands.
