Chukwuba Raymond Nnamdi is known for his music as Ray D. He grew up in Nigeria with his widowed father and one of his sisters. Ray D started in music by joining the church choir at the age of 12. In November 2013 he released his first single London Girl, recorded with Imo State producer Freelance, and the song took Ray D to musical prominence in the eastern part of Nigeria. Ray D was named Artist of the Year 2014 for Dancehall at the E-sure Celebrity Awards, which celebrates talent in the Nigerian entertainment industry, with Freelance scooping the next best producer award in 2013. Creating hits armed with a Dictaphone for melodies, iPod for inspiration and pen and notebook for lyrics, Gaurika Hayer is a pop-rock singer-songwriter, most similar to Pink, Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson. Michael Jackson, Madonna and Elton John are also inspirations. Gaurika has worked with some of the music industry’s leading producers such as David Frangioni, known for his work with Santana, Rolling Stones and Elton John among others, and Pete Wallace whose production roster includes Pink, Jessica Simpson and Julio Iglesias. Alongside Great musicians have also played alongside Gaurika such as Mark Hudson (Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Boyzone and Leann Rimes) and Rudy Perez (Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Il Divo, Michael Bolton).
