Mancunian songwriter JazFreddy Royal has produced a new club anthem “Samba! Samba!” to raise money for international children’s charity UNICEF themed on the 2014 World Cup being held in Rio.

The “Foe We All Miss You” singer managed to persuade Benedict Farr and Steve Oliver, managers at the National Football Museum and the manager of That’s Entertainment to support the fundraising by selling his song through their outlets.  Farr says: “This is the second time, we have worked with JazFreddy, and we are impressed with his professionalism and dedication.”

JazFreddy performed his single “Foe, We All Miss You” to a Manchester City Stadium packed with 48,000 fans and donated all proceeds to the late Marc Vivien Foe’s dream to build a school for young footballers in Yaoundé, Cameroon’s capital city.

Community DJ

As a result, local community Radio DJ Glenda Berg, in a campaign run by the Manchester Evening News, nominated JazFreddy a Manchester Hero.

Freddy’s first love is Afro-European dance music although his song writing has included a pop song celebrating the marriage of Prince William to Kate to promote her anti-bullying charity work.

The single “Samba Samba” is an electronic House track, which fuses European dance music with Samba, which is set to appeal to clubbers all over the world with lyrics in French, English and Portuguese.

Release

He will release his first full album “Samba Samba” a tribute to the Brazilian World Cup along with the single “Samba Samba” on 9 June 2014 through Matchbox Recordings with distribution from Universal Music Operations.
