Muzicmirror Interview: We tracked down Icy Narco as he drops new single ‘Stress’
Tell us about your new single ‘Stress’, What is it about ? and why have you taken a brand new direction with your music ? “Stress” is about being in a toxic relationship and finally coming to terms with the fact you gotta get out. It’s about a relationship that’s one sided. Where your working harder than your partner to maintain the love, and you feel stuck. I’ve definitely been there. I don’t think I’ve completely changed my sound, I’m just building on top of it. I’ve taken a lot of time over the past few months to work with the pop/rock teams in Nashville and my mind is just opening up musically. I will still release some classic Icy sounding songs, but for my first release in awhile, with a new team, I wanted to come out with something undeniable that shows more of me. Tell us about your previous music releases and the success you gained from them ? I started seeing a lot of success with 2 songs out. Every major label was trying to get involved. The first couple songs I dropped are Icy Classics I freestyled them, and made them really quickly. I found the […]

C.h.a.mp is a Mesquite, Texas native and solidified Texan. His artist name is an acronym for, “Change Happens at My Pace.’‘ He came up with the name before he had the idea of being a rap artist. He further placed periods in between each letter, to give more emphasis to each word. So far, he has released 2 EPs (Paper Route and YOLO) totaling 12 songs and has a full length album (Therapy) coming in October/November that will entail his roller coaster life story, while also giving his usual turn up vibe. With a focus on groove and rhythm, Jevaugn unleashes ‘The Sun of Night EP’
Born and raised in the South Bronx, Jevaugn grew within a robust culture that not only nurtured his growth, but inspired his vision for the music he currently crafts. Underground and personal, but open to those who also give it time. Finding a home in progressive metal with his friends in 2008, Jevaugn’s beginnings were spent in this realm of rhythmic synesthesia filled with emotions expressed in a manner he never heard before. It brought a sense of life and motion to his body and character. He felt present. By 2012, he began writing his own music, dedicating much of his time to composing and learning his sound. Heavy and dark with a focus on groove and rhythm, layered melodies, and momentum. Every so often he finds himself in euphoric phases of creation and taps into more of his sensuality and kink. Honesty is a treasure *wink* He founded Ghetto Pope Dreams Nov. 9th, 2020, and has since been moving forward with clear intent to make a statement within his culture, and within the world. He says “The EP is primarily about exploring my relation to certain ideas or passions within the Black Experience. I address them lyrically, but sonically […]

USA rapper ‘Troy’ drops his latest single “All We Got is This ft. Mick Jenkins”
Making noise out of Richmond, VA, USA rapper Troy (formerly known as JrdaRappr) drops his latest single All We Got is This featuring Chicago’s own Mick Jenkins and produced by Mos Poetick and Namebrand. The theme of All We Got is This articulates how black America is forced to cope with their oppression with minimal and further crippling resources. As Mick Jenkins emotionlessly states on the hook, “All we got is weed (little bit of weed) / Something on the drink / Can’t afford a shrink…” An additional theme weaved throughout All We Got is This is the lack of relatability, understanding and concern America has for the oppression and violence black Americans endures. Accordingly, Troy embodies this message in the lyric “Ain’t no houses getting built on top of affordable apartments/ Ain’t nobody shoot your partner/ Nigga you don’t feel this.” Online links – https://linktr.ee/AllWeGotisThis IG @iamtroyjones YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeyVpCizJWiIt1ttW-_YYmQ/featured
WENDINMI Releases Classic Single ‘Welcome to Vegas’
Las Vegas has always had quite the reputation. This is the heart of luxury, but also of good vibes. The city brings to mind class and elegance, but also excess, and a time to remember. The tune, which carries distinctive traces of afrobeat, will transport you to Las Vegas in an instant, from the very first few notes.
